Shared multi media content with a friend who is not tech savvy and needed some content from us. Copied it over to her hard drive and shared it with her. 

Helped my sister pack - 76th Day

This entry is for yesterday, March 17th, 2013, I was unable to post it as I did not have much of internet access in the evening. 

My sister is going to India, so we went to help her pack and get her all ready for her trip. Did spend only couple of hours helping her but she was glad we were there to support her. Little sisters are always so cute, you want them to be strong but you want to help them too:)

Bought a BP machine for an older uncle - 75th Day

This content is for March 16th, 2013 , got delayed in posting this.
One of my uncle in India is getting older , so thought he could use a Blood Pressure machine. Got one for him and one for another cousin. These things in India are very valuable and could be handy to be careful about their health. These are the people who I miss a lot back home and would love to take care of them after my parents. As I can't be there physically, this is the way I try to compensate.

Gave best customer service - 74th Day

Helped this customer setup what she wanted and then went beyond regular support and helped her fix couple more issues. Took care of her and made sure she was comfortable. Educated her so that she can help herself in future. Stayed with her all the time until her issue was fully taken care of and till she verified she was happy. By the time I was done, she was super happy with the help provided and loved the education she received.

Helped a stranger on the bus - 73rd day

Today the bus was cramped up and there was absolutely no room to even stand properly on the bus. While I was trying to balance myself with all the pushing and people trying to get on and get off the bus, I noticed this older gentleman right in front of me barely able to hold on to the bar. He was trying really hard to stand and looked as if he was in real pain. Every 2 min, he would tightly close his eyes and would try to bare some kind of pain, you can see that he was not happy standing. I tapped on his shoulder and asked him if he wanted to sit, but he said he will manage standing. Then he started to share , that he had a cramp in his legg and it was hurting a lot . Just after that , a seat become available and I offered him to take that seat. Finally he sat and said this was very comforting for his legs. He thanked for being considerate and was happy that someone noticed his pain.

Gave away bus tickets - 72nd Day

I had some spare bus tickets which I used to keep for emergency as I have bus pass mostly. Realized my friend who usually takes car , took the bus to meet up with me. I gave away my bus tickets to her to use, hope it helped her.

Truly listening - 71st Day

Called up a friend and met up with her for coffee. Took time to thank her for all that she did for me and I was a true listener today. I was fully listening and was present in her conversation without being judgemental and without assuming things. I was with her completely , letting her know that she meant a lot to me. She was a little upset but atleast sharing made her feel a little light and more happier after the conversation. 

Listening is an art . Listening and being there for someone without being judgemental is the best thing you can do to them. 

Helped a homeless person - 70th Day

After leaving work when I was walking down the street towards my bus stop, I saw a homeless person asking for some change. I see him all the time but never did anything, as I was always against it. I believe people should earn their own money with their hard work. Oh well, not sure what struck me today, I wanted to help this homeless person and gave all the change I had in my pockets. Hope he can feed himself atleast one meal and have a good night sleep.

Give up watching TV for a month - 69th Day

I have been getting into this bad habit of watching TV and ignoring important things in life. Today I decided to stop watching TV for a month that is from March 11th, 2013 to April 11th, 2013. In this spare time when I used to watch TV, I am going to concentrate on good things and how I can change different aspects of my life and help anyone I can in any way I can.

Helped a friend deliver furniture - 68th Day

One of our friends needed to get his furniture from IKEA but did not have a bigger car to move his stuff. We offered our car and helped him move his stuff home.
